Learning Skin Rejuvenation with IPL or Laser is an advanced topic with many layers of information that is not able to be taught in a day or two. It requires a fundamental base foundation for each topic, being able to understand the science & physiology of skin, melanoma & cancer awareness, the how-what-why each condition is occurring, as well as the risks associated with the particular treatment and what those can on pose to clients before starting to treat clients.

We are designing our suite of courses to be mixed ‘n’ matched so that everyone is catered for in their own learning pathway - as each topic is finished we will be releasing it into our Skin Rejuvenation product suite.

Each topic is a Block of study, with Block 1 being a pre-requisite that must be completed first. The blocks are made up Mini Modules® of Theory Online, with some then requiring a Practical Workshop. The blocks can then be mixed ‘n’ matched.

Learn just 1 - 3 skin rejuvenation topics, or complete the entire set of Blocks 1 - 8 topics! Your requirements will vary from other learners or staff that can have their own individual learning pathways made up based on their experience or requirements.

Alongside learning Skin Rejuvenation we suggest completing a Laser Safety Certificate (LSC) & our Skin Lesions, Skin Cancers & Melanoma Awareness Programme.

  • Certficates are the short blocks required to go towards a Diploma from NZLT Institute.

    We are completing work on the new Diploma options, so keep completing the short block certficates and we will assist you with which Diploma you are eligble to receive.

  • Skin rejuvenation is an advanced topic, and with well over 15 different ways to ‘rejuvenate’ the skin, the options can be daunting.

    These below are rough guidelines to assist you in your planning.

    Treat skin pigmentation:

    Block 1 + Block 3+ Pigment workshop #1 + Block 7 + pigment workshop #2 + Melasma workshop

    To treat vascular concerns:

    Block 1 + Block 2 + Block 4 + Acne / Rosacea workshop + Vascular #2 workshop

    To treat anti-aging / collagen:

    Block 1+ Block 5a (IPL) + Block 5b (Laser) + Collagen workshop #1 + Collagen workshop #2

    To conduct carbon facials with Q-switched laser or Pico laser:

    Block 1+ Block 6 + ideally other topics such as acne / rosacea (Block 2) + acne / rosacea workshop

    ** Note: Block 1 does NOT need to be completed again for each topic, you study this once.
