Our practical workshops are small professional practical tuition classes ranging from beginner through to advanced. They are run by our qualified adult tutors who have more than 42 years of laser industry experience between them. Workshops are open for learners to book who have completed the pre-requisite underlying required theory teachings, either through us, approved quality IPL / Laser suppliers, or through another equivalent educational facilities.

All classes must be pre-booked and class sizes are limited, classes fill quickly so please plan ahead to avoid disappointment. Pre-payment terms apply to secure a booking.
Skin Rejuvenation and Hair Removal practical workshops are priced at $399 + GST for learners who have completed the pre-requisites, stated on each individual course page. Learners who have not completed pre-requisites are most welcome to enrol in our practical workshops at the non-subsidised rate of $599 + GST per person, however ALL trainees must have completed the required theory teachings prior to attending as these classes are only practical. Please contact us for guidance on any missing theory you seek.
Laser Tattoo Removal Practical Workshop is at a fixed rate of $1200 + GST for the 2 days (half the rate charged for our in-clinic option).

During this 2-day intensive and comprehensive practical workshop with our qualified tutors your will learn how to consult with your clients, create treatment plans, learn to perfect techniques, and gain hands-on experience with live models. You will have developed the confidence to go out and perform Laser Tattoo Removal on clients, using a variety of handpieces with perfected techniques, be able to adjust wavelengths, understand the science behind tattoo removal, and much more. On completion you will receive NZLT Institute Practical Laser Tattoo Removal Certification.

MINI MODS® beginner hair removal practical workshop
1 DAY WORKSHOP OVERVIEW
Ideal if you are new or want to get practical training in hair removal, and after you have attended the Laser & IPL Hair Removal Theory Online Certification. If you feel you need some more guidance to build confidence in your practice and troubleshooting, then this class is for you. Our tutors are qualified educators and have vast relevant knowledge.
The workshop starts with a brief reminder of the most suitable Laser & IPL wavelengths for your client’s skin colour and hair type.
The phenomena of Light-Induced Hypertrichosis (LIH) and Paradoxical hair growth will be explained, as well as why hair removal treatments don’t always live up to our expectations. We will also discuss the Age of consent and considerations when treating younger persons.
This will be followed by a full day of training models for you to treat and practice. You will gain confidence in what you are doing, feel more reassured that what you are doing is correct, be made aware of the risks, and be in a better position to make good decisions on behalf of your client’s hair removal goals.

During this workshop, you will effectively learn how to use IPL to treat:

Based on your experience at our previous theory programme, we look at how we know if a client has acne or rosacea by learning how to assess the skin, and discuss best treatment approaches based on their FP skin type.
