1 DAY workshop overview

Building upon your experience from attending our previous skin rejuvenation theory programmes, you have the chance to continue your clinical assessment skills, using IPL and Laser for higher risk procedures treating pigmented lesions and pigmented skin conditions. This is an a advanced topic - if you are new to treating pigmentation, please check out the Level 1 pigmentation practical workshop.

During this workshop, you will learn how to effectively use IPL and higher risk laser application to treat:

• Q-Switched laser for sun spots / benign pigmented lesions

• Fractional laser for pigmented skin conditions / general skin pigment improvement

We focus on treating the face, neck, hands, and décolletage

After this practical workshop day, you will have gained confidence in assessing a clients skin for the treatment of pigmented skin conditions / lesions. You will feel more reassured and confident in your clinical approach for pigmented skin conditions and benign lesions . Learn how to up-sell your existing treatments with new confidence and ensure you are working within your scope of practice with the correct skills you need to succeed as a laser technician. You will be made aware of the risks and be in a better position to make good decisions on behalf of your client’s skin rejuvenation goals.

NZLT offers the use of higher risk procedures with lasers for advancing operators, if you are seeking to learn how to use laser for melasma treatments and have already undertaken training in laser science, safety and treatment principles using advanced lasers, please check out our Mini Mods - Level 2 Melasma 1-day Practical workshop.

PRE-REQUISITE:
You must have a full understanding of the required theory behind treatments and the settings used, this may have been obtained from us or elsewhere. Please contact our enrolment administrator to verify you meet the requirement to attend this practical workshop.

You do not need to own IPL or Laser technology prior to attending this workshop, please indicate to us if you are looking at devices as we can assist you with this.

CERTIFICATION:
You will obtain a letter of attainment and a certificate to show you have undertaken professional development with NZ’s leading and independent educators to add to your CV and your laser career pathway.
