This short online course is suitable if you are not from a healthcare background, or it’s been a while since you learnt anatomy & physiology in beauty school or nursing.
This course is recommended for nurses who are wanting to move from the hospital setting and move into skin treatments with IPL and Lasers.

Study method: Self-guided online learning over 8 - 9 hours. Can be started at any time, and study can be done anywhere with our online interactive platform.
Overview of objectives:
•To provide a simplified but comprehensive overview of all relevant topics an operator should know, and understand when working with IPL or laser regardless of background qualifications and previous education
•To provide a baseline understanding of the skin, and its basic functions, and to consider skin conditions and medical conditions that affect hair growth
•To gain a basic understanding of how external factors affect aging – eg: sun damage, sunburn, and UV exposure, and what affect this has on the skin in brief
•To bring together simplified introductory information on laser and other light based devices as they are used for skin treatments
What will it give me?
On completion of this course, you will receive an electronic certificate from the online learning portal and a Letter of Attainment will be emailed to you.
