Block 6 - Learn Black Carbon Facials

Pre-requisites: Must have completed Block 1 - Skin Rejuvenation with IPL & Lasers.
Study method: Self-guided online learning over 6 weeks, approximately 2 hours. Can be started at any time, and study can be done anywhere with our online interactive platform.
What will it give me?
Includes a downloadable workbook at commencement of this course, an electronic certificate, and a Letter of Attainment, which will be emailed to you on completion of the course.
how do we teach skin rejuvenation?
Skin Rejuvenation is an advanced topic to teach and learn, so we have broken it down into a series of blocks for individual topics, these contain a theory online module with the essential knowledge you require on the topic, some topics then follow with a practical workshop. Block 1 is compulsory to complete, then you can pick and choose a topic or topics to study.
What will you learn
This Mini Mods® Online course will give you essential knowledge for conducting Black Carbon Facials using your Pico-second or Q-Switch Laser to add to your treatment menu for your clients or a new skill for yourself.

Identify the type of laser required to carry out laser carbon facials
Recall treatment science concepts for laser carbon facials
Recognise the phototypes suitable to be treated
Recall treatment indications for laser carbon facials
Identify consultation steps and contraindications
Identify treatment steps
Possess knowledge on safe use of a Class 4 Laser device for laser carbon facials
Identify the risks associated with treatment
Select treatment parameters and understand why they might need to be altered
Recognise the required sanitation process to maintain a Class 4 Laser
Alongside this course, we would also recommend completing a Laser Safety Certificate and our Skin Lesions, Skin Cancers, and Melanoma Awareness Programme.
